PARTS and FUNCTIONS
Muscular System (Click to enlarge.)
The parts of the muscular system are muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
Functions:
Muscles: Allows the body to move
Ligaments: Hold bones together
Tendons: Attach muscle to bone
I think skeletal muscles are the most important muscles because without them we would not be able to move.
WORKS with OTHER SYSTEMS
Types of Muscles (Click to enlarge.)
The muscular system works with other systems of the body.
It works with the skeletal system because muscles move bones.
It works with the circulatory system because blood brings nutrients to muscles.
It works with the nervous system because nerves control muscles.
Fun facts:
It takes 17 muscles to smile.
It takes 42 muscles to frown.
There are 20 muscles in each hand.
